MILWAUKEE—Marcus Hotels & Resorts, a division of The Marcus Corporation, based here, has re-affiliated The Cornhusker Hotel in Lincoln, NE, with Marriott International, Inc. under the Marriott Hotels & Resorts brand. The hotel has been renamed The Cornhusker, A Marriott Hotel.
Marcus Hotels & Resorts assumed management of the property in September and is planning a multi-million dollar renovation set to begin in 2013. The renovation will include all 297 guestrooms and suites, 45,600 sq. ft. of meeting space, the lobby, restaurant and bars. The second floor lounge will be converted to a Marriott great room and two dining options, the Cornhusker Café and Miller Time Pub & Grill, will be added.
Renovation of meeting spaces is scheduled to be completed by summer 2013, and the guestrooms and restaurants will follow by October 2013.
